The Fast compound is the ultimate high-risk, high-reward tire. Boasting a massive 225 in both Acceleration and Cornering, it allows you to output the quickest lap times possible in dry conditions. However, with a base durability of only 55, it requires constant monitoring and a solid pit stop strategy to prevent a puncture.
- Reduced wear while battling: Wears slower while actively battling another car for position. This is indicated by the tire wear meter glowing green.
- Aggression Bonus: Grants additional XP per successful overtake, making it an excellent choice for climbing up the pack.
¶ Strategy and Management
Because the base durability is so low, you are highly susceptible to the game's random wear multiplier. If it rolls a high number, your stint on Fast tires will be incredibly short.
- Avoid putting these on if your car struggles with overtaking. While great for track position, you won't benefit from the XP gain per overtake, and could put you behind in upgrades.
- Because they wear slower while battling, they are best used when you are in traffic. If you are leading the race with clean air, it could be beneficial to pit for Fasts, as you will be put back into the mix of cars.
- The Fast tires are usually the best tires to get the
Fastest Lap.
- Due to the reduced wear during on-track battles, the estimations for fuel and tire life during pit stops might be obscured.
